Gold prices continued to decline on Tuesday as they lost their upward momentum, trading near the critical level $4,400. The yellow metal is currently trading below the daily pivot point at $4,448; if it settles below this level, it could decline toward support levels near $4,400 then $4,365. On the upside, if the price rises above the SMA (9) on the four-hour timeframe, it is likely to test resistance levels at $4,487 then $4,521.
Gold prices slipped on Tuesday as traders assessed Middle East tensions and awaited key U.S. labour market data due this week that could shape expectations for Federal Reserve monetary policy.
